Systemic Support Therapy
A project in partnership with the Association for Family Therapy (AFT)
We are a group of registered Systemic and Family Therapists who have come together under the auspices of the Association for Family Therapy and the Joint Refugee Action Network to work alongside and support the many agencies and voluntary groups working with refugees and asylum seekers in the UK.
The aim of our project is to help those individuals and families who have had to flee their homeland and are seeking asylum in the UK. We offer a number of different areas of free therapeutic support including clinical work, designed to help them reclaim their health and wellbeing.
We are Systemic psychotherapists: registered professionals typically working in the NHS, Social Services and education and comprise a large membership located all around the country.
We are available to support organisations working with displaced people, voluntary groups and local authorities both online and where possible, face to face, in the following ways:

Mentoring & Training
For organisation workers to coach and support as well as workshops for volunteers of staff.
One-off consultations
For mental health/relationship issues.
Clinical work
For individuals, children and families suffering with mental health/relationship issues
How our referral process works
The service is free. We may need help with expenses for such things as premises for any face to face clinical work or workshops we run. We would also like service users to have travel expenses covered if possible.
We invite agencies to contact us with any questions they may have or requests for help.
